Unfinished Aberration Game Thing for Acerola Jam 0

The whole idea was you're stuck in an infinite office dreamscape after falling asleep at a late night at work, waking up to a phone ring at your desk and slowly realizing the office isn't your normal place of work. I got all the level generation and stuff and art worked out but never got onto mechanics and gameplay which sucks but I'm still pretty happy with what I did get done. I planned to have this whole system where you make 'runs', where you wake up at your desk from the phone ringing and have to find an objective/item or complete a task before you inevitably go insane from various things, darkness, shadowy entities, ect, eventually blacking out and waking up in your next run from the same phone at your desk. You progress by completing runs, but going insane means you might loose a health point/strike or something idk. I might work on this some more in the future when I'm less busy and not burnt out or maybe if I get bored or something.

I made all the assets and wrote code myself from scratch too which is pretty cool

Feel free to just explore the office I guess. There's a stamina system too so if you stop sprinting it means you've run out (i think its 50s wait back to max stamina but I forgot). Also the screen will slur over time as you go insane, you go insane faster from staying in dark rooms or having low stamina, flashlight can help prevent it. You can press T at any time to reset everything, you can spam it to strain the level generator if you want :)

Oh yeah and idk if this is just a problem with my old laptop, but the build will often crash immediately after opening, if this happens I just reopen it until it doesn't crash 👍

• W / A / S / D: Movement
• LSHIFT: Speed Up (press multiple times)
• LCTRL: Slow Down / Crouch (press multiple times)
• F: Use Flashlight (only works if you have one in your inventory)
• T: Reset Level
• TAB: Open/Close Inventory
• A / D: Cycle Inventory
• Q: Drop Item
• E: Use Item (none of them can be used tho)
• R: Pick/Put/Combine Items (you can put batteries in the torch omg)
